Sehr geehrte Aussteller,
GO MODELLING ist leider Geschichte!
Die GoMo 2020 sollte die Jubiläumsveranstaltung zum 50-jährigen Bestehen der IPMS Austria werden. Aber es sollte nicht sein: der Covid Lockdown nahm uns dieses besondere Event. Aber auch 2021 und danach wird es keine GO MODELLING mehr geben. Die finanziellen Forderungen der, dem Heeresgeschichtlichen Museum übergeordneten, Bürokratie machen eine Fortführung unserer erfolgreichen Modellbaushow unmöglich.
Die GO MODELLING war über 16 Jahre hinweg ein wichtiger Teil der IPMS Austria. Auch ohne GoMo wollen wir weiterhin den Plastikmodellbau als kreatives und verbindendes Hobby betreiben und fördern. Wir sehen uns ‒ im MODELL PANORAMA, auf www.ipms.at und natürlich bei anderen Modellbauausstellungen!
Wir bedanken uns bei unseren Ausstellern, die gemeinsam mit uns die schönen GoMo's in den vergangenen 16 Jahren ermöglichten und zu einem international beachteten, sympathischen Ereignis gemacht haben. Wir bedanken uns bei den Mitarbeitern des Heeresgeschichtlichen Museums für ihre Unterstützung und die angenehme, freundschaftliche Zusammenarbeit. Wir bedanken uns bei unseren Besuchern, die dem Museum die jährlich zweithöchste Besucherzahl bescherten und uns zeigten, dass wir es richtig gemacht haben. Wir bedanken uns ganz besonders bei den fleißigen Mitarbeitern ‒ Mitglieder der IPMS Austria, Angehörige und Freunde ‒ die unzählige Stunden vor und hinter den Kulissen arbeiteten und das Herz und die Seele der GoMo waren!

With deep regret we have to announce: GO MODELLING is history!
GoMo 2020 has been intended to become our biggest show so far, celebrating IPMS Austria’s 50 years anniversary. As you know, we could not host the event due to the Covid lockdown in Austria. But also from 2021 on, there will be no more GO MODELLING, either. The prices being asked by the superior political authorities of the Museum of Military History make it impossible for us to host our highly successful show for financial reasons.
For 16 years, GO MODELLING has been a major part of IPMS Austria. Of course, we are will carry on supporting plastic modelling in any imaginable way – after all, we are modellers! We will be happy to keep up our contact with you through the MODELL PANORAMA, through our website www.ipms.at, and by attending other model shows!
Many thanks to all of you! Thanks to all the exhibitors, who made GO MODELLING the beautiful, internationally renowned, and friendly event it has been during the past 16 years. Thanks to the staff of the Museum of Military History for their continuous support and for the highly professional yet enjoyable collaboration. Thanks to our visitors, who gave the museum its second highest attendance every year – they showed us that we apparently had done something right. Our special appreciation go to our hard working personnel – members of IPMS Austria, families and friends, who have worked countless hours onstage and offstage to make the show happen – you have been the heart and the soul of GO MODELLING!
